Granite is a common and widely occurring type of intrusive, felsic, igneous rock. Granite usually has a medium- to coarse-grained texture. By definition, granite is an igneous rock with at least 20% quartz by volume. Granite differs from granodiorite in that at least 35% of the feldspar in granite is alkali feldspar as opposed to plagioclase; it is the alkali feldspar that gives many granites a distinctive pink color. Granite is usually found in the continental plates of the Earth's crust. Granite is nearly always massive (lacking internal structures), hard and tough, and therefore it has gained widespread use as a construction stone.

Granite is a natural stone that offers not only a beautiful aspect, but extreme reliability and free maintenance. It is heat, stain and scratch resistant providing the best durability needed for heavy use.

The typical Applications Granite is used as a building stone, architectural aggregate, track & trail pathways, decorative landscape stone, decorative rip rap stone and a source of economically valuable minerals. Nothing adds more value to a house than modern and well designed granite kitchen countertops and granite bathroom countertops. Installing a granite countertop in an updated kitchen will more than pay for itself. A kitchen remodel and an upgrade to granite countertops is a logical choice to add value to any home.

Marble is a metamorphic rock composed of recrystallized carbonate minerals, most commonly calcite or dolomite.Geologists use the term "marble" to refer to metamorphosed limestone; however stonemasons use the term more broadly to encompass unmetamorphosed limestone.[1]Marble is a rock resulting from metamorphism of sedimentary carbonate rocks, most commonly limestone or dolomite rock. Metamorphism causes variable recrystallization of the original carbonate mineral grains.

GMarble is commonly used for sculpture and as a building material.Marble granite tile is suitable for bathrooms, entryways and fireplaces, living & dining areas.Marble floor tiles are also used for both interior and exterior flooring applications. Some of the different colours of marble are white, red, black, mottled and banded, gray, pink, and green.

Marble-Onyx: This exotic natural stone is about luxury and glamor. The "transmitter of light". An exquisite and unique stone that's really expensive.

Sandstone is a clastic sedimentary rock composed mainly of sand-sized minerals or rock grains. Most sandstone is composed of quartz and/or feldspar because these are the most common minerals in the Earth's crust. Like sand, sandstone may be any colour, but the most common colours are tan, brown, yellow, red, gray, pink, white and black. Since sandstone beds often form highly visible cliffs and other topographic features, certain colours of sandstone have been strongly identified with certain regions

Sandstone is typically the youngest of the quartz-based stones, with each stone having a different level of porosity, hardness and compressive strength. Indian sandstone is suitable for domestic and commercial use mainly as sandstone tiles and sandstone slabs. Sandstone flooring is also very popular and is used by the homeowners for giving a classic look to their floors.Owing to their natural beauty, sandstones are used for interior as well as exterior decoration including paving and cladding walls. Sandstone also serves as a common building material for larger structures.

Slate is a fine-grained, foliated, homogeneous metamorphic rock derived from an original shale-type sedimentary rock composed of clay or volcanic ash through low-grade regional metamorphism. The result is a foliated rock in which the foliation may not correspond to the original sedimentary layering. When expertly "cut" by striking with a specialized tool in the quarry, many slates will form smooth flat sheets of stone which have long been used for roofing and floor tiles and other purposes. Slate is frequently grey in color, especially when seen, en masse, covering roofs.

Slate stone is used on a large scale in the construction of buildings and for flooring, roofing and wall cladding. The strips can be used to make various designs on the walls and a combination of different shades and colors of slate stones can be used to create varied patterns.

Quartzite (from German Quarzit) is a hard metamorphic rock which was originally sandstone. Sandstone is converted into quartzite through heating and pressure usually related to tectonic compression within orogenic belts. Pure quartzite is usually white to gray, though quartzites often occur in various shades of pink and red due to varying amounts of iron oxide (Fe2O3). Other colors, such as yellow and orange, are due to other mineral impurities.
